Yesterday some of our 7th and 8th grade students participated in a STEM activity for their Halloween celebration!
This morning OSF Healthcare came with mannequins and AED trainers to teach our 6th-8th grade students Hands Only CPR. Our students were taught how to help someone experiencing cardiac arrest. Thank you OSF!
We want to give special thanks to Ameren for coming to visit our 5th grade students this past Thursday. Our students learned a lot about conserving energy and a few were lucky to snag goody bags to update their home energy usage!
It's our October Birthday Buddies! It was a fun donut celebration seeing all of them in their Halloween costumes! Thank you Peoria Heights Police Department for stopping by!
The Peoria Heights VFW Post #2602 generously donated over 100 insulated lunch bags filled with school supplies, hats and gloves. Thank you so much for thinking of us!
Congratulations to our Friday ticket winners!!

We would like to thank the Peoria Heights Alumni Association for their generous donation to the Patriot Pantry. With this donation we were able to purchase storage for organization and much needed items for our student's essential needs.
If you would like to donate to the Patriot Pantry, we accept donations at both Peoria Heights schools or you can purchase an item from our Amazon wishlist. These items can be sent directly to our school.
Thank you for your continued support for our students.

Miss Higgins had her 3rd graders play a pollinator game during science!
Miss Baize had her botany class collect leaves for their first project!
Mrs. Haslett's Kindergartners used shaving cream to practice writing the numbers 012345678!
Mrs. Moreno's 4th graders made and labeled wave projects last week!
This afternoon our 7th and 8th grade students had a guest speaker, Mrs. Kris McClellend, come talk to them about civics and government. A fun fact about her is that she and her husband helped pass a law so that international adoptions were handled at the federal level instead of the state level. Their advocacy for change came after they were told they couldn't adopt an 8 year old from Russia.
Great job Patriots being our ticket winners this week!
